Shop work
In-house design and fabrication
Artiplex is a family-owned shop, not a broker. Design, CNC routing, laser cutting, and assembly happen in-house in Columbus so the file we draw is the part we cut.
Custom signs — letters, cabinets, interior plaques, dimensional logos — go through our design team, then into fabrication. That path is the right fit when you need a complete storefront, monument, or interior package.
If you already have a CAD or vector file, skip the back-and-forth and use the instant CNC and laser quote tool. Upload DXF, DWG, AI, EPS, STEP, or SVG, pick a material, and get live shop pricing with pickup or shipping.
A part that becomes an exterior sign on a building can need a graphics permit when it is installed. The shop cut itself is not that filing. Columbus sign permit decoder.
How a design and fabrication job works
-
01
Survey
A photo of the wall or the part, a size, and whether you already have a CAD or vector file. Custom packages and file-based CNC jobs start from different intake, but both stay in this shop.
-
02
Proof
Custom signs get a layout before we cut. A file upload on the CNC tool is quoted from the geometry you send; we still confirm material and finish before production.

Fabricate
CNC routing, laser cutting, and assembly happen in-house so the file we draw is the part we cut.

Install or pickup
A full storefront or monument follows the install path, including a permit when the address requires one. A CNC part can be picked up or shipped. There is no public storefront — we schedule a handoff.

FAQ
Design and fabrication questions
- Do you design the sign, or only cut a file I send?
- Both. A custom storefront, monument, or interior package goes through design, then fabrication. If you already have a CAD or vector file, use the instant CNC and laser quote tool instead of the project form.
- Which files does the CNC tool accept?
- DXF, DWG, AI, EPS, STEP, or SVG. Pick a material on that page. The price comes from the shop calculator, not from a guess in an email.
- Does in-house fabrication include installation?
- Installation is a separate step on the same quote when the piece goes on a building. A CNC part can also be picked up or shipped. There is no public counter.
- If we fabricate a wall sign, does it need a Columbus permit?
- The cut in the shop is not the permit. Installing that piece as a permanent exterior sign in the City of Columbus often is, especially when it is illuminated. See the Columbus sign permit decoder. We coordinate that filing on installation projects. We do not publish fees.
- How do we start a fabrication quote?
- Use the project quote form for a sign package, or the CNC tool if you have a file. Call 614-706-6706 or email henry@artiplexsigns.com. There is no public storefront.
