- What signs does a Columbus church usually need?
- Most need a primary exterior mark — a monument, channel letters, or both — plus interior wayfinding so visitors find the sanctuary and offices. An event banner covers a week that is not worth a second cabinet. A storefront congregation in a plaza may only need tenant letters and window hours. We scope that from the address and photos, not from a standard package.
- Do event banners need the same permit as a monument or channel letters?
- No. In Columbus, temporary signs, window graphics, and banners can follow different sections than a permanent illuminated letter set or a ground sign. We confirm the path for the address. See the Columbus sign permit decoder for the city’s published triggers, and do not assume a suburb uses the same thresholds.
- We lease a storefront. Do landlord rules still apply?
- Yes. A congregation in a strip center or office park is a tenant. Letter height, raceway color, and whether illumination is allowed are usually written in the criteria. Send that sheet. We design to it. We do not invent a landlord’s rules, and we cannot approve the sign on the landlord’s behalf.
- Do you build changeable letter boards or donor walls?
- We do not stock a changeable outdoor letter-board or a catalog donor-wall system. We do fabricate interior plaques, directories, and dimensional letters in-house. If you have names for a recognition plaque, send the list and we will quote a custom interior piece. For a changeable marquee, we will tell you that it is outside what we build rather than guess a product.
- Can you repair the letters we already have?
- Often, when the cabinet and returns are sound and the fault is a module, a power supply, or a face. We identify that on site. If a repair will not hold, we quote a new sign instead. Call 614-706-6706 or use the quote form with photos and the city.
- How do we request a church sign quote?
- Use the quote form at artiplexsigns.com/quote/, call 614-706-6706, or email henry@artiplexsigns.com. Include the city, photos from the road and the building, any landlord or committee criteria, and whether you also need interior wayfinding or an event banner. There is no public storefront.
